Zinio: Digital Magazine Service

Check out Zinio, the library’s new digital magazine service!  Use your library card to access and download full, current issues of dozens of popular magazines, from Backpacker to BusinessWeek, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, Yoga Journal, and The Economist.

At the library, there is something for everyone.  Zinio is available via any internet-enabled device.

NOTE:  Zinio eMagazines display best on tablets or other mobile devices via the free Zinio app.  You can also read Zinio eMagazines on your PC or Mac.

Here's how to get started.

You will create two logins: one specific to the library’s service (free to CHPL card holders), plus one for Zinio.  Please be sure to use the same email address for both accounts.

  • You will use the first login to access the Library's Zinio Collection of magazines and  to select the magazines you want.
  • You will use the second login, to Zinio, to read the magazines you've selected.

Go to the Library's Zinio Collection by CLICKING HERE

  • If this is your first time, click the purple "Create Account" button and enter your library barcode card number.   - If you already have an account, just log in.
  • On the library's Zinio collection page, click on the magazine(s) you'd like to view.
  • Now you will be asked to create a Zinio account, or to log in if you have an existing Zinio account.  Please be sure to use the same email address for both accounts.

Once you have a Zinio account, you can install Zinio on your desktop, tablet or phone!  Zinio apps are available for the desktop, iPhone, iPad, Android, Kindle Fire and Blackberry.

Install the app and log in to your Zinio account.  Once you have selected a magazine, you can read articles in easy-to-read text, formatted for your tablet or phone screen.  You can do this by:

  • Going to Settings > Table of Contents and select the magazine's articles there.
  • Once you are in an article, click the "Text" button at the bottom of the article page.

If you need help, check out Zinio's Help, or call the Information Desk at 968-2780.
