ALA Announces Youth Media Awards
The annual Youth Media Award winners were announced by the American Library Association this week at its convention in San Diego. Key winners include:
Newbery Medal: Moon over Manifest, by Clare Vanderpool
Caldecott Medal: A Sick Day for Amos McGee, by Philip Stead and illustrated by Erin E. Stead.
Printz Award: Ship Breaker, by Paolo Bacigalupi
