The programs will be led by Lynn P. Elwell, who grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and now lives with his
wife, Josephine, in Durham, North Carolina. He is a retired pharmaceutical research scientist and a former college and community college biotechnology teacher. A life-long reader and appreciator of poetry, Elwell began trying to write poetry around the time of his retirement in 2009. Since 2011, he has had around forty poems published in poetry and literary journals in the United States and Canada. He has formerly presented his course, called “Exploring Poetry”, at the South Regional Library [Durham County] during National Poetry Month.
