The library makes every effort to ensure our programs can be enjoyed by all. If you have any concerns about accessibility or need to request specific accommodations, please contact the library.

We frequently take photos and videos at our events. Here’s what we do with them.

Grab your binoculars and contribute to citizen science by taking part in Project Feeder Watch with us this season.

Chapel Hill Public Library participates annually in Project Feeder Watch, a national effort to identify and count feeder birds from November to April. Each event runs from 3-4:30 pm on the first Friday and Saturday of the month on the library terrace.

Before starting our count, we’ll spend the first half hour learning about binoculars and birds with engaging educational programs offered by New Hope Audubon Society members. We’ll get acquainted with our resident birds and the winter migrants who call Chapel Hill home for the season. The bird count will start promptly at 3:30 pm.
