Science in the Stacks
Have you ever wondered what causes the sky to change colors? We're getting back to our regular partnership with UNC Science in the Stacks for experiential programs relating to science topics. Join us on Zoom at 3pm on Sunday, August 15 for a live virtual presentation on the science of sky colors.
Materials to follow along: Drinking glass or glass jar - Water - Milk - Flashlight
For kids in grades K-5
Outdoor Story Time
20-30 minutes of stories, songs & early literacy activities just outside the library
Preschool Story time (ages 3 - 6)
Toddler Time (ages 18 months - 3 years)
Family Story Time (all ages)
The Circulator will set up shop this summer in four parks and a playground. Look for us biweekly starting June 9 at Hargraves Community Center (10a-12p) and Homestead Park (2-4p) and June 16 at Chapel Hill Community Center (10a-12p) and Umstead Park (2-4p). Second Sundays you’ll find us at Phoenix Place playground, just down the street from RENA Community Center.
