The IDEA Project

Students, teachers, and staff in the CHCCS district can use their school ID number to access all library resources. The IDEA project lets users do everything they can do with a regular library card - log in to research databases, check out print and audio books, and download digital materials - using a familiar number.
Called the IDEA Project because a school ID number gives Easy Access to library resources, the project is part of a national movement to connect K-12 students with public library resources in order to better support school success. In 2016, the Mayor of Chapel Hill and CHCCS School Superintendent signed on to a national challenge to implement programs like these in communities across the country.
