The Chapel Hill Public Library Foundation supports the Chapel Hill Library through the cultivation, growth, and stewardship of charitable contributions and planned giving. Our wonderful library cannot be sustained or improved based on public funding alone. Through your support, the Foundation helps the library respond to the changing needs of our community, both now and in the future. The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization governed by a dedicated volunteer board of directors composed of local citizens who care about our library. It seeks private sector funds to supplement where tax-based funds stop short. Since 1997, the Foundation has raised and donated funds to improve the library facility and spaces, make capital improvements, enhance collections, implement projects and services, and make our Chapel Hill Public Library the great library that our community enjoys.
