Celebrate the freedom to read with us. In our Banned Books Trading Cards project we create art based on banned books or authors whose works have been challenged. Seven pieces are chosen and turned into trading cards that are given away for free at the library and a few locations around Chapel Hill.

    - Join us for a special after-hours event as we exhibit all of the entries in the 2019 project. Meet the artists, be the first to see the trading cards, and enjoy complimentary refreshments.

    We hope that you can join us, but if not, be sure to visit the library to see all of the entries from this year. And if you're in Downtown Chapel Hill, check out a Pop-Up Gallery featuring all winning entries from the previous six years of the project. Head to Gallery 109 on East Franklin Street between noon and 6:00 pm before September 29.
