Neurodiversity & Nature

Chapel Hill Public Library's Neurodiversity & Nature initiative offers nature-related services, spaces, and materials for diverse cognitive needs, including sensory processing differences, dementia & memory loss, ADHD, and autism. This project was funded in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) which supported the development of kids' sensory kits and adult memory care kits, sensory-friendly furniture, and an outdoor sensory trail.
